Drag a box over anything you want gone — a face, an ID, an email, a balance — and download the image with those areas removed. We don't blur or pixelate: the pixels in the area are replaced with solid black, so there is nothing left underneath to reconstruct.
The image never leaves your device: everything runs in your browser. On download, the image is re-encoded from scratch, so any metadata it carried (including the GPS location of a photo) does not make it into the final file.

Frequently asked questions
Can a blurred or pixelated image be recovered?
Often, yes: blurring and pixelation are transformations that can frequently be reversed, especially over text. That is why we don't blur — we fill the area with solid black, and a solid fill leaves nothing underneath to reconstruct.
Does a photo or screenshot store my location?
Photos usually carry hidden metadata, including the GPS location where they were taken and sometimes the device model. On download, the image is re-encoded from scratch, so that metadata does not carry into the final file.
Is the data really deleted, or just covered?
It is deleted: the pixels in the marked area are replaced with solid black on the image itself, and what you download is a flat bitmap with no layer on top that could be removed. It is not an overlaid rectangle.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser and the image is never transmitted. You can check it: disconnect from the internet and the tool still redacts and downloads.
Which image formats does it accept?
JPG, PNG and WebP, including screenshots. The download comes out as PNG, or as JPG if the original image was already a JPG.
